Job Title: Data Modeler- Banking Client- In Person Interview
\n
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid 3 days office in a week)
\n
Duration: 12Months+
\n
\n
GC, EAD and US Citizens Only (Local Candidates based in NC only)

Note: Looking for candidate who are willing to go for In person Interview.
\n
Interview Process
\n
The interview process will consist of 3 stages :
\n
\n - Teams interview with the consulting/implementation partner
\n - Teams interview with the financial-services client
\n - Face-to-face interview with the financial-services client
\n
\n
Key Responsibilities
\n
\n - Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise applications, data warehouses, data lakes, and analytical platforms.
\n - Translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and governed data structures.
\n - Develop dimensional models , including star and snowflake schemas, fact tables, dimension tables, and slowly changing dimensions.
\n - Define data entities, attributes, relationships, keys, constraints, business rules, and data definitions.
\n - Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, solution architects, developers, data engineers, and product teams.
\n - Analyze existing databases and applications to identify data gaps, redundancies, quality issues, and opportunities for optimization.
\n - Create and maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories, source-to-target mappings, and data lineage documentation .
\n - Ensure data models comply with enterprise architecture, security, privacy, regulatory, and data governance standards.
\n - Support data integration, ETL/ELT, master data management, and reporting requirements.
\n - Review and optimize database structures for performance, scalability, maintainability, and usability.
\n - Participate in data migration, modernization, and cloud transformation initiatives.
\n - Work with database administrators and engineering teams on schema design, indexing, partitioning, normalization, and denormalization strategies.
\n - Establish and promote data modeling standards, naming conventions, templates, and best practices.
\n - Conduct design reviews and provide guidance and mentoring to junior data modelers and data professionals.
\n - Support impact analysis and change management for data model and schema changes.
\n - Troubleshoot data-related issues and assist teams in resolving data inconsistencies and integration challenges.

Required Qualifications
\n
\n - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
\n - 8+ years of experience in data modeling, database design, data architecture, or a related discipline.
\n - Strong experience in:
\n - Conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling
\n - Relational and dimensional modeling
\n - Data warehouse and data mart design
\n - Data normalization and denormalization
\n - Metadata management and data documentation
\n - Proficiency with SQL and relational databases such as:
\n - Oracle
\n - SQL Server
\n - PostgreSQL
\n - MySQL
\n - Teradata or equivalent
\n - Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio, IBM InfoSphere Data Architect, SAP PowerDesigner, or similar tools .
\n - Strong understanding of database architecture, data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and data quality concepts.
\n - Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, or Databricks .
\n - Knowledge of data governance, data security, privacy, master data management, and regulatory compliance.
\n - Ability to understand complex business processes and convert them into effective data models.
\n - Excellent communication, documentation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
