Accounts Payable Specialist | Temporary | Denver, CO

We're partnering with an established organization in Denver that's looking for a personable, detail oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to jump in and support their accounting team for a temporary assignment lasting up to six months.

This is a great opportunity for someone who knows full cycle AP, can handle a high volume of invoices, and brings a positive, team oriented attitude to work every day. They're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, build relationships with the team, and make an immediate impact.

What You'll Be Doing As Accounts Payable Specialist

• Manage full cycle accounts payable from invoice receipt through payment processing
• Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently
• Review invoices, verify approvals, and ensure proper general ledger coding
• Perform invoice matching and research discrepancies
• Prepare and process vendor payments, including ACH and checks
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding balances
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive working relationships
• Assist with month end close and AP reporting as needed
• Support the accounting team with additional projects and daily responsibilities

What You Bring As Accounts Payable Specialist

• Previous experience handling full cycle, high volume accounts payable
• Strong understanding of invoice processing, payment procedures, and vendor reconciliations
• Experience working with accounting software or ERP systems
• Good Excel skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage a large workload while meeting deadlines
• Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
• Available to start quickly and commit to a temporary assignment

Logistics

Location: Denver, CO (DTC area)

Compensation: Up to $25 per hour

Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday

Employment Type: Temporary, up to 6 months
